Stoop & Scoop in Winter
So it’s snowing in Toronto this week, something which is a bit rare. In fact the last time I remember it snowing in November was when I was perhaps 12 years ago. This batch will probably melt by the end of next week but I took a walk outside to maximize the oppertunity and clear my head in the cold air.
For the first time I stopped to look at these signs I see in the parks over here: “Stoop & Scoop”
Doesn’t the dog looks like a panther? Also in the picture he’s actually looking at this human being cleaning up after him with disdain! Can you imagine this sign around thousands of years from now where it’ll show up like an artifact in a museum with a tour guide saying “evidently these earlier primates cleaned up after another species known as the dog. We are uncertain as to who was in charge back then”.
Can you imagine what this sign would look like to a foreign or alien civilization?
“On my block, a lot of people walk their dogs, and I always see them walking along with their little poop bags, which to me is just the lowest function of human life. If aliens are watching this through telescopes, they’re gonna think the dogs are the leaders. If you see two life forms, one of them’s making a poop, the other one’s carrying it for him, who would you assume was in charge?”
