Fighting Fire With Fire
31Mar06
â??Plans for a Pentagon-led experiment that involves detonating 700 tons of explosives in the desert drew criticism from state leaders and a disarmament activist.
The explosion scheduled for June 2 at the Nevada Test Site is part of an effort to design a weapon that can penetrate solid rock formations in which a country might store nuclear weapons or other weapons of mass destruction. [source]â?
Hmm, why would the Pentagon need a bomb that is designed to penetrate solid rock formations in a country believed to be hiding nuclear weapons?
I think it’s ironic sometimes that we use weapons to fight weapons. Start a war to avoid a war. It’s like fighting fire with fire.
Why don’t we just use water?

“WHy don’t we just use water …”
“Ice is (also) nice, and would suffice.” (and I’ve forgotten who said that).

Ah, but I have promises to keep …
I think he’s only one of the most brilliant poets to come along in Western literature in the past hundred years.
