Talaween تÙ?اÙ?Ù?Ù?
23Oct06
I know I’m coming late to the party by posting Yehia Abdallah’s short comedy film “Talaween” which fellow Jordanian blogger Laith Al-Majali edited. But I really don’t care because I finally got around to seeing it at 2:23 am and frankly it made my day. Not to mention that had I seen it a year from now I would’ve still felt the need to blog it. I don’t think I can describe it any better than Laith: “The film deals with a taxi driver and how his personality changes depending on the passenger riding with him, a beautiful girl, a sheikh, an American woman and a muthaqaf.”

BTW,”talaween” in the modern Jordanian slang means “ciggarrets”
e.g: person 1: wain ray7een?
2: 6al3een barra,bedna ntalwen
I just love the movie..
