Oscar Picks 2007
25Feb07
So these are my Oscar picks in the main categories for this year. This is not a list of who will win but rather who I would like to see win. In other words some of these picks are considered by me as long shots. There must be some law against using one’s blog for gambling, otherwise I’d start an Oscar pool.
Best Actor: Ryan Gosling for “Half Nelson”
Best Supporting Actor: Alan Arkin in “Little Miss Sunshine”
Best Actress: Meryl Streep in “The Devil Wears Prada”
Best Supporting Actress: Jennifer Hudson for “Dream Girls”
Best Directing: Martin Scorsese for “The Departed”

I can’t beleive you chose Jennifer Hudson over Cate Blanchett!
And you know what the sad thing is, i think she’s indeed going to win.
was she good? probably yes, I haven’t seen the movie to be frank, but I can’t imagine that her performance (Considering that this is her first movie ever) was truly so astoundingly good as to win a SAG award, the BAFTA , the NBR, the NYFCC, the OFCS , the PFCS, the Satellite Award, a SEFCA, a WAFCA, the Golden Globe and now of course the OSCAR!
I mean, Seriously!!
Oh, and Martin Scorsese definitely should win. I mean, its about damn time
And i’m with you on Meryl Streep and Little Miss sunshine.
bakkouz: hudson was pretty good and her competition isnt that fierce. it’s not only about the actor but also the role.
Yea I would like to see Meryl Streep win the best actress Oscar
I can not believe anyone would enjoy Little Miss Sunshine..I would if it were an animated movie only..
