Equinox & Eggs

Ingredients: 1 Egg
About a week ago, out of boredom and nostalgia for winter, I tried balancing an egg on its end on the first day of spring i.e. the vernal equinox. As (Chinese) legend has it, an egg can be balanced on its end during the vernal or autumnal equinox: where the Sun crosses the equator making it one of the few days in the whole year where the length of day and night are the same.
Suffice to say, after several minutes of trying I failed.
p.s. this is mostly an urban myth as an egg can actually be balanced on any day of the year given enough time and effort. but i wasn’t that bored.

ok, I also decided to balance an egg after reading your post, and guess what?? I managed to make it balance from the first try :)))) lucky meee…Oh, but wait and hear the rest of the story. I left it on the kitchen counter and went to answer the phone, and when i came back it was on the floooor… waaaa2!! it toook me a while to get it cleaned up, and make the floor smell good. It is your fault ;D (kidding)
