“How do you expect us to report on the credibility of elections when civil groups are not permitted to observe vote casting and ballot counting?” - Samih Sunukrut, secretary general of the Arab Organisation for Human Rights. The Jordanian Coalition for Civil Society Organisations announced on Tuesday it would drop a plan to monitor parliamentary elections, citing “crippling” government restrictions.

At least we can wish for a fair one, Samhan.
You do know of course that a change come through pressure and consistant growing civil responsible movement towards development.
Never make fun of someone’s dream, because those who have non, do not have much.

Beautiful! At this rate, inshallah we will be a modern democracy by 3101…. is it just me or are the comments on this post less than the usual? are people intentionally avoiding to comment on this crucial issue or is it just a busy time of the year?

Based on my understanding …candidates can have their campaign representitives by sanadeeq el iqtira3 and during el farz. documentation and authorization for these “observers” are issued in advance. SO the poeple will be observing the vote casting and the ballot counting. When i was told this i was like” What?? is this for real ??”
