Amzing what Mahmoud Massad did all by himself. I mean his award is a prestigious industry award for cinematography. to film his documentary Recycle, he used a consumer video camera. this proves that true genius always finds an outlet.

    WOW! This is uplifting!

mabrook amin and massad. this is amin’s second award with the first being at the dubai festival where his film got best actor. this is mahmoud massad’s third award. his film, even before it was finalized, won an award at San Sabastian’s and at the Berlinale. the amazing thing is that mahmoud massad had no money and no support from anyone when he started. he did not even go to film school. he used a cheap video camera.

mahmoud massad single-handed success gives those poor arab filmmakers hope that they too can do it.

    Alf mabrook for Amin..
I was actually one of the fortunate to watch the screening of Captian Abu Raed and meet its cast and crew..
    Emotionally uplifting and aesthetically rich..

I recommend everybody to go and watch it when it hits theaters in Amman
