Could this editorial in the Jordan Times be any more propagandistic? I mean, come on people, a little show of objectivity can’t hurt you. Can it?

extremely naive and totally bias! you know what?.. you should send the editor the debate that took place in your previous entry.. this mighttt trigger the editor/writer to look at the subject matter from different perspectives…? (sigh)

This propagandistic rant is only the tip of the iceberg. When I read the Jordan Times, I tend to think of it as the Disneyland version of Jordanian life.

Wow, the article is so incredibly vague that it’s amazing anyone can believe this story. If I didn’t know what was going on, I wouldn’t even understand what they’re talking about.

I think the Jordan Times has certainly deteriorated recently. Some of their editorials are so feeble and this particular one is ridiculous. T

Well, it is an editorial. I expect the main news articles to be unbiased and fair, but editorials, by nature, reflect the attitude of the writer (such as it is).

Congratulations, Nas, for getting to the end of a Jordan Times piece without scratching out your eyes and pouring bleach in the empty sockets…

    It’s just plain embarrassing.

Dave, your confusing editorials with op/eds. The latter is the sole opinion of the writer whereas the editorial is written in the name of the publication and is representative of the publication’s intentions/beliefs/ideology/leanings.

Nas, I was going by the following definition:

Editorial: of or relating to a section in a newspaper, often written by the editor, that expresses an opinion.

I assume that a newspaper editor can be as biased as he/she would like to be in an editorial, but must leave said biases at the door when it comes to news articles.

Then Jordan Times fits neither definition :-D
