I found this news a bit interesting. The other day, a bus driver who had forgotten his license at home was given a ticket by a traffic cop, and the driver then proceeded to strip off his clothes in a fit of rage, to protest the ticket. He was eventually subdued by the police.

In a country with little free speech and freedom of expression, it seems people are finding new ways of protest in these unbearable times.

Stayed out of this one so far, but WHAT?! How is poor thing degrading? It’s expresses sympathy for his unenviable position. And, in fact, in English poor thing is used for humans. It’s used for anyone that you feel sorry for because of their situation.
