On Obama Posters
By now, everyone has probably seen Shepard Fairey’s famous Obama poster that is destined to become a piece of contemporary art history. The “Hope” and “Change” poster has been a trademark of this election’s more cultural elements. But I doubt the poster may have been as famous as it is today had it not been for the glorious Internet (with assistance from a program that is apparently called Photoshop).
Since it’s release almost a year ago, various parodies of the poster have popped up all over the net. Some are ironic, some are racist, some are obscene, some require a preliminary knowledge of the details of this elections. You can check them all out here, but here’s a selection of the ones I thought were interesting and sometimes thought provoking:

Original

Bill Clinton

Che Obama

Luke Skywalker from Star Wars

Soup Nazi, Seinfeld

Ralph Nader

Bush

Obama

Obama: from a famous Saturday Night Live sketch

Oreo Obama

The first Word that came to mind when I saw that photo was ” change” this kind of propaganda helps that increase of recognition around the world for Obama , I like the way they did it , it gets you more personally involved with him , and even the mockings of the sketch is a helper , let’s see, for instance i like the Sharia sketch ,the Arab sketch and the che Obama one , this is taking the campaign into another level of lot’s of faces , when it is mentioned to the American people , there will be people like me who like revelutionary sketches and others who would love the thought of Obama and clinton , and others who simply love star wars. It is really smart , , ,
Nas i think we will be using this in our next elections in Jordan , hopefully by then we will have a political organised party to represent any majority and then we can be a really democratic country …

I lol’ed hard, these posters are great!
I’m planning to print some of these, got any higher resolutions? It’s a long shot but I had to ask!
Edit: Nevermind I didn’t saw that link, my bad!
And the winner poster is Che Obama ofcourse! I love it
I want the “Arab” poster to hang up in my room, however my personal favorite is “Cope”!
Some of my favorite bumper stickers are much more simpler:
“Somebody else for president”
“Sarah Palin: Because John McCain thanks you’re an idiot”
“I can see the moon from my backyard, does that make me an astronaut?”
“Attention Sarah Palin: Please don’t wink at me, Ever.”
According to a recent poll, only eighty-two percent of Democrats would re-elect Obama if they could vote today. They voted for hope and ended up with change.
