How about “down and nasty” punk and hip hop full of the f-word while pre-teen girls and their mothers shopped for accessories during Ramadan at Claires in City Mall!
I also cannot hear any of the classical music pieces on the Cosmo market tape anymore without cringing. The Flight of the Valkyrie while trying to get served at the butcher’s counter…
Who chooses the music? Some evil elf with a twisted sense of humor?

hahahah. I was just thinking exactly the same.
Yesterday I went to the safeway and the first thing I did was put on my headphones. people were giving me weird look at the alien stares all the time, but I was just smiling and listening to my own music.

Some propane gas sellers I heard now reverted back to Lambada (wasn’t that the tune before the honking?)…in any case…yay

Jordan’s retailers are just lame. From the smallest shop in downtown to the biggest mall in West Amman, there is an undercurrent of ‘we don’t really care’.

You should shop at the Irbid Safeway……the Staind CD stays on repeat there if you do your shopping in the evening. It’s all good until the music booth guy decides to sing along to that “I’m on the outside” song at the top of his lungs. He doesn’t even wait until the song completey finishes before he hits repeat.
