An intriguing play on Shakespeare's Shylock - the pound of flesh owed to him by Antonio with Antonio's heart as the default payment. Interesting ironic twist with the "tax collector" giving people new life. . . . last two gifts - heart and eyes - what it takes to see the truth . . . 7 pounds equals the approximate weight of internal organs . . . ultimate sacrifice for love Just watched Seven Pounds. amazingly complex – not so much the plot but the symbolism.

It is one of the best films I have watched this year. Btw, watch it alone to skip the unnecessary comments (like the once i kept getting from my brother), because you will get into the movie and forget that you are watching a movie before you even know it.
